This game is amazing! The story, characters, and settings are all amazing and it truly is Persona 5 on the phone. Gacha isn't necessary much at all so free to play players can thrive! The only problems are loading transitions when ambushing an enemy to battle and when defeating an enemy and going back on the field. Along with the lack of true controller support those are the only nitpicks I have that stop it from being a perfect 5. If you love Persona, play this game for sure!

The game has great visuals but the UI and controls are pretty awful. Some puzzles involve avoiding hazards, which is near impossible with the touchscreen joystick. The gameplay feels tedious and repetitive. It isn't very fun with frequent loading screens and difficult to navigate menus. I don't see myself playing this long term...

As enjoyable as this game might be, the experience is completely soured by the changes made for the global release. Overall, the game is employing a number of tactics, such as reduced rewards and short-term pop-up "deals" (that're way too expensive), that pressure players to spend as much as possible. I'd recommend people avoid playing until the devs start managing global similarly to the other versions.
