Pretty decent game, though combat mostly comes down to "throw your monster army at it" and tossing out heals. Controls and UI are serviceable. Ability trees are kind of boring. It's basically just "the same thing, but bigger numbers" for each step up. Seems to have trouble saving. I regularly hit "save" then "main menu" and when I come back find I've lost an hour or more of play time. I wish the auto-save were more frequent and more trustworthy.

Incredible experience that held my attention for 30-40 hours on the first playthrough. The combat seems simple but stays fresh to the end due to all of the upgrade and pet systems you're jumping between. There are also other mini games which are fully fledged games in their own right. Fishing is fun and challenging to the end, but the card game needs work as it was too easy and took a while. My only real suggestion is a more accessible first person toggle rather than digging through menus. 5/5

This is neat! I enjoyed 9th Dawn III and being able to play in first person is a really fun addition. The dungeon card game and 'fish survivor' mini-game is pretty fun and made me laugh. Dungeon crawling in first person is really enjoyable and makes things a lot more engaging since you need to explore to find your way around. I did notice that using anything but the low graphics setting causes a pretty severe drop in framerate in both first-person and 3rd person. It looks ok on low anyhow.
