The game takes an hour to regenerate 1 energy and the levels are set up so that you have to lose to earn more coins to upgrade skills. It takes forever to progress because one playthrough takes 30 seconds to play and one hour to regenerate enough energy to play for another 30 seconds. And the only other way to obtain extra energy is to spend real money. It's an obvious cash grab. In their support chat the chat bot told me that the levels were set up to win without spending money, which is a lie

Good concept, horrible delivery. My screen freezes and my troop won't move, ads send me to websites automatically and makes me restart the game, and you can't pass levels easily, unless you spend money. I thought the update would help, but nothing changed. Don't waste your time.

not sure how unpaid works but paid does get you far enough without annoying ads. I've played it constant for a few days then got to a level where the blocks were just too big, got stuck no matter what. Game does give you the option of playing some side hustles. overall I'd say it can kill your time for a week or two.
