While this requires a Bluetooth or Wi-Fi connection to a compatible Canon camera(I use the Canon EOS R50), it makes for a convenient way to transfer photos and videos from my camera to my phone. My one complaint is that videos can take a while to transfer. In that case, USB file transfer(with at least a 10 Gbps USB C cable) to a PC then to my phone may be faster. Even still, that's a minor complaint since the videos are fairly large files.

Barely works now. Everytime I try to connect to my camera, the app just refuses to. It gets permanently stuck on the last last stage of connection and no amount of logging out, deleting and reinstalling the app, or reseting my phone works. Whatever changes were made have brought an amazing useful and cool function to nothing but something that takes up space in your phone. Just buy separate remote controls and card adapters because this app is worthless.

With the last update (apparently non-sarcastically titled "Canon ID makes products more convenient and enjoyable for you"), the app requires a Canon cloud account, except the app crashes when you attempt to create an account or login, so it's literally unusable. You can't use without a login, and you can't create a login. This is one of the stupidest software updates I've ever seen. Whatever manager at Canon pushed for this needs to be fired immediately.
