I'm a former ranked Othello player. This allows me to keep skills active w/o having to use Zebra. There's a program that allows us to remember the opening (Stephenson, Comp'Oth, Rose, Cow, Heath/Bat, Chimney, Sailboat, Tamenori, etc...)and know your strength of Black/white w/ a pretty close to reality ranking, but propensity of cheating makes people not enjoy it, so this is a good substitute...I'm currently practicing and finding my skills challengeable at level 22. There are up to 30 levels.

Downloaded because I was a novice that regularly got thrashed by a friend who taught me the game in real life. User interface looks dated, but its snappy and well organised. I like that it shows you all legal moves each turn. Computer difficulty scales well + you can add a handicap. Overall I wanted a free app, that looks okay, works and will help me improve in real life. It's done all that perfectly. Would reccomend to novices on a budget, no idea if it would appeal to an expert.

A recent update added more intrusive ads that cannot be bypassed. Worse, they're auto play videos. Absolutely awful. Update 2020:. Again with the obtrusive ads! Nothing worse than an auto play video! Update again: still with the auto play video ads I see. One star until these are gone forever.
