This is the PneumoRecs VaxAdvisor App created by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in collaboration with the Georgia Tech Research Institute. PneumoRecs VaxAdvisor provides patient-specific pneumococcal vaccination guidance consistent with the pneumococcal vaccination recommendations of the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices. Vaccination providers enter a patientās age and respond to prompts about the patientās pneumococcal vaccination history and underlying medical conditions. The app then displays patient-specific pneumococcal vaccination recommendations consistent with the recommended U.S. immunization schedule.

Only tried this a few times. I like the concept behind this. I would probably give 5 š (stars) if not for 2 initial complaints: 1) too time consuming to enter in pt date of birth (recom to type in or select age - would be easier/faster than the DOB, especially scrolling to the birth year for elderly pts). 2) once pt 65+ yo, the risk factors are no longer applicable (as age itself is the risk for both PCV13 & PPSV23 for shared decision). Only previous vax history is applicable once 65+.

This only is for an individual schedule. No ingredients nor proper display of risks. This is just a scheduler and does not navigate well. Practically useless. Whoever wrote for nurses is ignorant .
