ORB-13 is a high density, detailed analogue watch face with an aircraft-instrumentation look and feel, carefully sculpted face giving a real impression of depth for the various instruments on the watch face.
Features marked with an asterisk have additional remarks in the Functionality Notes section below.
Features:
Colour Options:
There are ten colour options, accessed through the ‘Customise’ menu on the watch device.
Three primary circular dials:
1. Clock:
- Analogue clock with aero-look hour, minute and second hands and markings
- A green battery-charging icon appears when the watch is on charge
2. Artificial Horizon (and date display):
- Linked to gyro sensors on the watch the artificial horizon reacts to the user’s wrist movements
- Built into this dial are three windows displaying day-of-the-week, month and date.
3. Altimeter (step-counter):
- Based on the functionality of a real altimeter, this dial displays step count with three hands showing hundreds (long hand), thousands (short hand) and tens-of-thousands (outer pointer) of steps.
- A cross-hatched ‘flag’ is displayed in the lower part of the dial until the day’s step count exceeds the daily step goal*, mimicking the functionality of the low-altitude flag on an actual altimeter.
Three secondary gauges:
1. Heart rate meter:
- An analogue dial displays the heart rate with four coloured zones:
- Blue: 40-50 bpm
- Green: 50-100 bpm
- Amber: 100-150 bpm
- Red: >150 bpm
The normally white heart icon turns red above 150 bpm
2. Battery status meter:
- Displays the battery level in percent.
- The battery icon turns red when the charge remaining falls below 15%
3. Distance travelled odometer:
- A mechanical-style odometer displays distance travelled in km/mi*
- Digits click-over as they would in an actual mechanical odometer
Always on Display:
- An always-on display ensures that key data is always displayed.
Five pre-defined app shortcuts:
- Measure Heart Rate*
- Calendar
- Alarm
- Messages
- Battery Status
Five user-configurable app shortcuts:
- Four configurable app shortcuts (USR1, 2, 3 and 4)
- A configurable button over the steps counter – typically set to a user’s chosen health app
*Functionality Notes:
- Step Goal. For users of devices running Wear OS 3.x, this is fixed at 6000 steps. For Wear OS 4 or later devices, it is the step goal set by the wearer’s health app.
- At present, distance is unavailable as a system value so distance is an approximated as: 1km = 1312 steps, 1 mile = 2100 steps.
- The watch displays distance in miles when the locale is set to en_GB or en_US, and kilometres in other locales.
- Measure Heart rate button functions if the cardio app is available.
We hope you like the aero-feel of this watch.
