I had a rocky start with the app, customer service was very responsive and friendly. I'm keeping the premium subscription and paying all my bills+direct deposit+spending gives enough sats back to cover the subscription cost with a bit leftover. Worth it to me, I come out in the green mathematically. I just wish there was lightning for lower sending fees. Otherwise it's a fantastic experience that no other company I've seen is offering. Definitely recommend!

Same issue with other crypto cards in that it's hit-and-miss where it's accepted... but if a retailer doesn't support it I can always use my Fold card to fund another card, then make a purchase—something I haven't been able to do successfully with competitors' cards. The premium Fold+ plan is great for avid crypto users, too, as the savings afforded by fee-free BTC transactions will easily cover the program fee and then some.

I used to love Fold, but the rewards just keep getting squeezed more and more. I always went for 2-3% rewards by optimizing my spins and saving for big purchases. Now, it's the 1% base rate plus some change. The Amazon gift card lost its 5% back and they still haven't gotten ACH rewards in place. If you have car payments, a mortgage, or other payments that you can pay with PayPal, that's great, you can get the rewards, but most (in my experience) rely on ACH only. So much squandered potential.
