To use the features of this app, other than the most rudimentary, you'll have to subscribe. It's an incredibly expensive subscription and it's pretty much blackmail, as you already bought their very expensive mattress and pod, so you'll probably want more than the absolute basic in the app. Truly appalling money grab. This app and all it's features should be free forever for the purchasers of their pod. Even if you resell it! To Eight Sleep: remove the subscription service now!!!

Caliverse
The recent overhaul of the app completely ruined its accuracy, efficacy, and even its ease of navigation. Ever since they rearranged everything (like making ON/OFF totally unintuitive), it has been registering incorrect sleep durations and sleep scores for us. It will even retroactively adjust correct data and make it completely wrong, like changing an 8-hour session to a 1-hour night sleep. It doesn't help that the unit has also stopped cooling after only a year of use.

7/9/25-App was updated again and is not functioning. The temperature reverts to 81 degrees as soon as you leave the screen. Only thing you can do is turn it on or off. Developers should test the app before releasing to ensure basic functions work. Unfortunately every update has issues. 5/19/25-App is non functional. Have been working with engineers for 3 weeks with no resolution. As of today cannot even open the app to control temp. The app is stuck on an alarm screen that cannot be dismissed.
