About this app

Looking to lose weight and get healthy?

Any program can tell you to eat less and move more.

Noom is different.

We know that lasting weight loss starts in your brain.

So, at the core of your Noom journey is our psychology-based weight loss course, a series of 10 mini-courses that you can complete at your own pace.

Every mini-course will help you gain specific knowledge, tools, and skills that will help you change your habits, lose weight, and make progress far beyond the scale.

To set you up for success, your course also includes state-of-the-art tools:
-- Food logging with over 1 million food items in our food database and 1 million scannable barcodes
-- Over 1,000 interactive lessons
-- A 1:1 coaching experience with personalized goal setting
-- Hundreds of simple, healthy recipes
-- Unlimited group support

We'll help you ditch the idea of "good" foods and "bad" foods and develop a healthier relationship with food. Spoiler alert: It doesn't involve skipping meals, eating salads all day, or cutting carbs (unless you're slicing a sandwich).

And we'll also cover lots of other fun topics like the psychology of weight loss, mindful eating, joyful movement, the science of metabolism, the 10 types of hunger, self-experimentation, emotional health, decision making, self care, and so much more!

At the end of your journey, you'll have earned the title of Noom Master and have a set of healthy habits to help you keep the weight off for good and lead a healthier, more fulfilling life.

On average, Noomers lose 18lbs in 16 weeks, and over 86% of Noomers keep the weight off beyond one year.

Our scientifically-proven approach to weight loss and behavior change was created by a team of doctors, psychologists, nutritionists, and personal trainers.

Noom has been featured in the New York Times, Women’s Health, Shape, Forbes, and more, and we've already helped millions of people worldwide achieve their health goals (a not-so-humble brag).

And if you like talking science like we do, you might also recognize some of tried-and-true concepts and approaches that have informed our program like caloric density, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, and more.

helpful, but once you lose about 15 lbs it doesn't help you continue the weight loss journey. I liked the app until I went on vacation and couldn't enter my calorie intake for the day due to a lack of internet. I lost about 15lbs and stabilized but can't loose more or stay consistent. The calorie tracking seems off and not perfect. I feel like just finding a calorie-counting app that is free is just as good. Noom, although a great start, is false in its advertisement.

The first time I used Noom, during the pandemic, it was super insightful and easy to use. Its interface is still pretty good, but I am so frustrated at the bugginess of the app. I am currently trying to keep tabs on my protein intake (which I only just realized was at about 25% of what it should be, as a woman in my 40s who is very active) and even when I edit food items in the app, I don't seem to ever get accurate data. My experience now is nowhere near what it was a few years ago.

Ive been enjoying the app -nots reallympolished and considered in a lot of places but then really buggy in a lot of others. For the price- this should be a lot smoother. Main issues have been past body scans failing to load, without clearing app data. Also my Fitbit integration fails for unknown reasons after a week or so and it seems impossible to get it to sync again. How many times must I enable data sharing for it to stop working or not work at all? When those things work : it's great.
