About this game

ENYO is a tactical roguelike about hook & shield combat.

Grab your hook & shield and descent as Enyo, the greek goddess of war, into an ever changing labyrinth to recover 3 legendary artifacts.

ENYO's gameplay is based on the idea of indirect combat. Enemies can only be defeated by pushing or pulling them into burning lava pits or deadly spiked walls.

While staying accessible through the limited amount of actions a player can take, the core of ENYO are highly tactical turn based battles. To enter the highscore leaderboards for each of the 3 game modes you are tasked to master your weapons and create powerful chain combos through clever maneuvers.

This game is very well made! I love the art style. The various enemies are wonderful. The game and controls are simple, but it gets harder and more complex at it goes on. I've yet to reach level 5, as it is a pretty hard game. I have noted some issues. The movement is a little wonky at times. The game occasionally senses my finger moving a tiny bit to one direction and it makes me move an extra space, ruining my run. This can be heartbreaking. Thus, I'm only giving 4 stars. Great game though!

This game is really fun. In a way, it is a trial-and-error game, where you learn which each enemy does and how they interact with each other. However, when you learn these interactions, I find it more fun to go for score streaks, which reset anytime you are hit or stunned. This is no problem until you get up to one enemy, the hammer welding frog. This enemy is very strong and very hard to kill, and it feels unfair at times when you are in a position where being stunned is unavoidable.

The odds are against you, so this game rewards slow, careful play and strategic thinking. Awareness of the entire field of play is a must; getting fixated on one single enemy will usually cause you to lose or get into a difficult situation. Overall, highly recommended for tactical and strategic gameplay. Update: I've been playing expert mode for several weeks and I believe that the Frogger enemy is unfairly overpowered. Need to eliminate the bash or broken floor attacks; enemy is too versatile.
