Keep your number
Just enter your number into the app and we take it from here. No complicated setup. When people call you, the app will automatically pick up the call. When you want to call, just dial a number or select from your contacts.

FCC certified and Free, at no cost to you
We are FCC certified, meaning all eligible US citizens who are deaf or hard of hearing can be qualified to make captioned phone calls on Rogervoice for free. Thanks to the Telephone Relay Service (TRS), a federally funded program.

Two-sided captions
Rogervoice is also free for your hearing friends and family. Simply ask them to download the app and use our app-to-app calling services. They can read a copy of the captions as they speak and be assured that you’re catching what they’re saying.

E911 compatible
We handle your emergency calls with live captions. You have the option to activate automated location services using our telecommunications technology, so that emergency responders can pinpoint your call location, saving precious time and lives. NOTE: e911 is available in the United States ONLY. Use your mobile carrier’s native dialer to make emergency calls outside of the United States.

Listen -- when this works, it is a GAME CHANGER for deaf people, and well worth it. But when it DOESN'T work, it's almost worse than having nothing at all. So when doesn't it work? WHEN YOU'RE ON WiFi. The transcription on WiFi hangs, as do calls, which will eventually just disconnect. But on your actual mobile service, with good signal, it's PRICELESS. I'm glad to have found it, and will use it forever. But the WiFi implementation is just too weak at present. Thus 3 stars.

As a mute, I loved being able to make calls. The problem lies in the fact that I wasn't issued a phone number. Then, it took their customer service 2 days to respond to my initial query followed by an additional 6 days to actually address the issue. That is 8 days of not having the entire service. When they finally got back to me, the phone number did not work. It was not connected. In what way is an 8 day wait for basic customer service acceptable? The transcription was pretty good.

Incredible to say the least but the person that I want to make use of this app only really calls out once a month, so she needs a pricing plan suitable for that. E.g. 10 minutes/month for 1 Euro. She is extremely happy with this app but does not want to force her contacts to have to download an app just so she can avoid the 6 Euros/m (which is a fair price if you are going to use it up). When you update, please continue keeping it compatible with older phones; I have Android 6.
