About this game

Polygon: "My Child Lebensborn tells a disturbing tale about innocents in the aftermath of WW2”

My Child Lebensborn, now out in Ukrainian and Hindi!

You adopt a young Lebensborn child in Norway after WW2, but parenting will be hard as your child grows up in a hostile and hateful environment. See a different side of the war, inspired by the true stories of the Lebensborn children. Discover how hatred of our enemies continues to create victims, even after victory.

Discover their past and support them in the present. You must balance your time and resources to provide for your child. You will find answers to the hard questions; about their history, the hatred, bullying and the passing of blame.

Can you help Klaus/Karin cope with the heavy inheritance of the German occupation, so they will find their place in a country that is celebrating its freedom.
You can make the difference.

Key Features:
- Influence the child’s feelings, personality and worldview through your choices.
- Look for the effects of your choices in your child’s expressions and body language.
- Explore a gripping storyline based upon true events.
- Earn money as you work, then cook, craft, forage and play.
- Use your time and meager resources wisely.
- Adopt a boy or girl, and support them through a defining year of their life.

Play and interact with your child more freely in this remastered version. Manage your time and resources while trying as many activities with your child as possible! Money is limited as always, but perhaps there are more reasons to not work overtime after all.

I finished this game. I have never cried over a video game, but this... this is different. Spoiler warning for the next paragraph. I chose Klaus and parenting him was the hardest thing I've done. The scene around the end with the implications of abuse absolutely destroyed me. The way the credits said how it could go several ways, how it could've been great or terrible, I almost choked up. I will donate to Children Of War if I ever have the money.

I love this game. Between the art style, the story line, and learning more about the past through playing it was great. There where times my heart just broke for the child. I kind of wish at the end it gave me the little score sheet thing like it had been giving me throughout the chapters. So I could see or the option to look through the picture book or something like that. The ending felt a little unfinished. Besides that I'm hoping there will be more someday and overall I enjoyed the game.

I love the game and grow very fond of the child. The story is touching and heartbreak at times. I first played the free version and then found myself buying the full version for wanting the ending. I've completed the game twice and still yearn for more, or even a part two, for a more ending for good and bad outcomes for the child and your character. I wish there was a little more to the game for the ending and maybe a little more interaction with the child. But overall, it's a great game.
